MAGNUS strengthens corporate communication team

MAGNUS has strengthened its corporate communication team in Sydney with the recent hires of Clint McGilvray and Cian Murphy.

Clint has thirteen years’ experience in media and communications, with specific expertise in high-profile crisis and issues management, public affairs, business and stakeholder management. He has led and executed media, communications and crisis management initiatives across both the public and private sector in Australia and the UK and has worked with media outlets from around the world on breaking news.

His most recent role, as a senior advisor to a New South Wales Government Minister, focused on providing strategic communications advice to Government on major policy announcements including economic reforms as well as crisis communications advice around policing and emergency management. Clint also has as a deep understanding of the issues and emerging trends affecting Australian businesses competing in the global market place.

Cian Murphy joins the MAGNUS team having previously headed the policy and communications function for UK Financial Investments Limited, the UK Government agency that oversees the Government’s ownership stakes in the Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group.

He brings extensive financial services experience and was a key member of the team that successfully executed two of the largest secondary Equity Capital Market transactions ever in Europe on behalf of the UK Government. Prior to that, Cian was a policy adviser for Her Majesty’s Treasury covering a range of public policy issues.
