Justine works closely with Citadel-MAGNUS clients to provide research, investor relations and media relations support.
Justine has more than five years’ experience in investor relations and corporate access.
Justine is a French national having started her career in London at a leading investment bank where she coordinated national and international roadshows, client trips and transactions such as IPOs.
In her most recent London role as Investor Relations Executive for Lloyd’s, the world’s largest insurance market, Justine gained a deep understanding of in-house investor relations, communication and strategy.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, PARTNER
Peter has been a financial communication consultant since 1997, working for some of the top financial consultancies in Australia and the UK, prior to becoming a founding Partner of Citadel Communications in 2008.
Has advised on numerous M&A transactions, including cross border deals, and has also advised on a large number of IPO’s across healthcare, retail, technology and property. He has an established clientele of ASX200 companies, advising on financial calendar programs.
Through leading the Transaction Communication team for Citadel-MAGNUS he has helped establish the firm as one of the top M&A consultancies across Asia-Pacific as measured by Merger Markets.
Peter has a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Newcastle) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment (FINSIA).
Tony has over 25 years' corporate consultancy experience providing corporate communications and investor relations services to a range of clients in the minerals and hydrocarbon exploration, mining and oil & gas production, government, construction, agri-business, FMCG and financial & commercial services sectors.
Tony has previously held in-house corporate affairs roles with Crown Limited and Western Metals and managed his own specialist corporate communication and investor relations consultancy business for over six years where he represented a range of publicly listed companies, private enterprises and government agencies. Prior to this, Tony served in the Australian Army and has held senior roles with specialist corporate communications and investor relations agencies. He has served as a director for not-for-profit charitable organisations. Tony holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Melbourne.
EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, PARTNER
For more than 35 years Martin has worked as a reporter and foreign correspondent, political adviser and corporate communication specialist.
A founding partner of Citadel Communications, now Citadel-MAGNUS, Martin brings ‘hands-on’ leadership and wide experience to all aspects of corporate and financial communication including large and small transactions, IPOs, proxy contests, corporate positioning, issues management and media including some of Australia’s largest, and highest-profile takeovers.
He provides communication counsel to CEOs and Boards and on long-term strategic campaigns to re-position public issues. Sector experience is wide including property, coal, oil and gas, resources, transport and industrial.
Martin is a Bachelor of Economics and holds a Diploma of Education (Macquarie), and a graded journalist.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, PARTNER
John has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate communication and investor relations in Sydney, Perth and London.
His experience lies in the development of corporate, investor and transaction communication strategies in a broad range of sectors.
He has led the communication on many highly successful transactions and provided counsel to management on several complex issues in the corporate sector.
He has also held in-house investor relations and corporate communication roles with an ASX-listed company.
John was the founder of MAGNUS in Sydney and Perth and he has a Bachelor of Commerce (Curtin University). He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) as well as holding a number of financial markets-related post-graduate qualifications.
Seven years' experience in financial services, most recently as an investment adviser at a national stockbroking firm.
Richard brings strong equity market knowledge and a deep understanding of the listed company environment to Citadel-MAGNUS, with a particular interest in the junior and mid cap mining and oil and gas sectors.
His background covers all aspects of private client stockbroking including investment analysis and advisory, IPOs, rights issues and placements for clients ranging from high net worth individuals to overseas institutions.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia and post-graduate qualifications in Applied Finance and Investment.
Matthew has more than 15 years’ agency and in-house corporate communication experience in Australia, the UK and South Africa.
The mainstay of his experience is in running media and investor relations campaigns for publicly listed companies predominantly in the construction & engineering, real estate, financial services, technology, healthcare and retail sectors.
Matthew has provided strategic communication counsel on several corporate transactions including IPOs, capital raisings and M&A. Prior to immigrating to Australia he also had a senior in-house role for a FTSE 100 financial services company in London.
Matthew has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa as well as post graduate financial markets-related qualifications from the UK.
Courtney advises Citadel-MAGNUS clients in their corporate communication programs. She provides counsel on external and internal communication strategies including media relations, reputation management, and social media, as well as providing strategic advice on corporate issues.
Courtney has worked on a number of transactions in equity capital markets, including IPO and M&A projects, across a range of industry sectors working at board and executive level on issues affecting businesses, investors and stakeholders.
Courtney is also involved in the preparation of corporate materials and internal communications documents, and providing financial calendar and investor relations support to ASX-listed clients.
She graduated from Charles Sturt University with degrees in both Journalism and Public Relations.
A chartered accountant, Doris has 20 years’ experience in financial reporting and operations.
She has previously worked in senior finance roles for listed and private equity entities, primarily in the property and infrastructure sectors. This included working on annual reports and other shareholder communications, capital raisings, board reporting, and day to day financial activities including management reporting and compliance matters.
Doris also spent a number of years with an international chartered accounting firm and various small, expanding businesses. Her broad skills and experience in accounting, tax and administration provide valuable support for the Citadel-MAGNUS team.
Doris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
5 years’ experience in financial services, most recently as an Associate in the Perth office of an international wealth management firm. A sound understanding of financial markets and the listed company environment, with experience in developing investment strategies, managing asset allocations, conducting equities research, corporate transactions and facilitating secondary market trade execution.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Masters in Applied Finance from Kaplan.
Helen has extensive expertise in corporate transactions, IPOs, communication strategy, and providing strategic counsel on issues and crisis management.
She has worked with leading Australian and international companies across a broad range of sectors including media, retail, transport and tourism, property, private equity, superannuation and resources.
A founding partner in Citadel, Helen was formerly a senior finance and business journalist, with 25 years of experience in Australian journalism with Channel Nine’s Business Sunday, ABC Lateline’s Business, and Sky News.
Helen provides specialised preparation and media training for Directors and senior management.
Exceptional research and analytical skills built upon work across multiple industry sectors.
Specialising in business intelligence and data analysis, Genevieve has gained valuable experience through working in research roles at a number of leading international firms in Australia as well as a top tier international financial PR agency in the UK.
Her experience in providing share price information and analysis, peer analysis, research and market reports, and media coverage analysis, will ensure the Citadel-MAGNUS team and its clients are well supported.
Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Design and Technology with a major in Industrial Graphics.
With more than a decade’s experience in office management and a keen interest in digital design, Rachel plays a key role in supporting the broader Citadel-MAGNUS team to meet client needs and to ensuring the day to day activities at Citadel-MAGNUS run smoothly.
Rachel’s broad experience and excellent organisational skills provide support to clients and Citadel-MAGNUS executives, making her a valued member of the team.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Communications.
Giles brings to the firm more than 20 years experience in investor relations, corporate affairs and journalism, with a specific focus on digital content and video.
Giles helped found the global corporate advisory firm Brunswick Group’s online video communications agency Cantos Communications and more recently was Executive Producer at Viocorp, a Sydney based enterprise video platform supplier.
In the UK his client list included GSK, Prudential, Barclays, Tesco, Anglo American and Rolls Royce. In Australia Giles has worked with QBE Insurance, GPT Group, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, Optus, NBN co., King Wood Mallesons, DBS Bank Singapore amongst others.
Luca is a recently appointed Associate at Citadel – MAGNUS, providing support to clients through media monitoring, investor relation services, corporate writing and market research.
Having previously worked at David Jones across several client interfacing roles, Luca brings valuable client management and relationship building skills as he looks to develop a career in advising companies in investor and financial communication.
Luca holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Charles Sturt University.
Xanthe provides support services to Citadel-MAGNUS’ senior consultants across a wide range of clients.
She provides media monitoring for investor relations projects, and also coordinates office manager duties.
James has 15 years’ experience providing advice to listed clients across a number of sectors, geographies and exchanges on investor and media relations, as well as strategic advice on corporate transactions and crisis management.
Prior to joining Citadel-MAGNUS, James provided strategic advice to a range of ASX listed companies including Magellan Financial Group, AJ Lucas, SEEK, Xref, Thorn Group and Linc Energy. He is a former director of London based agency Buchanan, one of the UK’s leading, and most experienced financial communication and investor relations consultancies, during which time he spent three years working in Dubai and Saudi Arabia as part of the senior management team of Buchanan’s Middle East operations.
He graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA(hons) in Managerial Statistics.
Michael has more than 25 years' experience in investor relations, corporate affairs and journalism.
Michael has previously held senior in-house roles with Emeco Group and Gindalbie Metals, where he gained valuable experience in corporate affairs, investor relations, stakeholder engagement and the financial markets.
Prior to this, Michael had a career in journalism, and held the position of senior business reporter for The West Australian for a number of years. Michael is also a past board member of the Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA) and the current Deputy Chairman (WA) of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
