Australia’s leading independent corporate and financial communication firm, Citadel-MAGNUS, has achieved a top four ranking on deal volume for the Asia-Pacific region in the 2016 Financial PR global and regional tables from Mergermarket.
The fourth placed ranking cements Citadel-MAGNUS as the most active transaction communication advisory firm in Australia for the second year in a row.
In 2016 Citadel-MAGNUS advised on a total of 24 deals (up from 18 in 2015), worth US$4.2 billion (A$5.56 billion), making it the highest placed Australian firm in the rankings. By total deal value Citadel-MAGNUS ranked in the top 20 for the Asia-Pacific region.
Notable transactions advised on by Citadel-MAGNUS during the year include the $1 billion trade sale of State Plus to First State Super, Galaxy Resources’ $800 million merger with General Mining, Equifax’s $2.5 billion takeover of Veda Group and Patties Foods’ $300 million bid from Pacific Equity Partners.
The Mergermarket annual rankings examine the performance of Financial PR advisory firms around the world on transactions worth more than US$5m, ranking firms by the volume and value of deals they have advised on.
