Citadel-MAGNUS has been ranked third by deal volume in the Asia-Pacific region (excluding Japan), in the latest Mergermarket PR advisor league tables.
Citadel-MAGNUS ranked eighth in the Asia-Pacific region based on the value of deals (US$8.8 billion or AU$12.4 billion) it advised on for the calendar year.
Executive Chairman of Citadel-MAGNUS, Martin Debelle, said the firm’s experience and reputation for managing the complex communication demands of takeovers has been critical at a time when M&A deals are on the rise.
“Citadel-MAGNUS saw strong cross-border deal flow in 2015 with US companies in particular actively seeking expansion into high-potential ASX listed companies helped by a favourable Australian dollar,” he said.
“Doubtless we’ve also gained from our own merger last year (Citadel and MAGNUS) which created a bigger company, more deals, and greater capacity with a much larger team offering greater depth of experience to run them.
“It is also pleasing that local knowledge and capability keeps us competitive with the world’s largest PR firms,” Mr Debelle said.
Mr Debelle said that despite the bumpy start to equities markets in 2016 Citadel-MAGNUS had IPO’s planned in the technology, industrial and financial services sectors and a number of takeovers in hand.
